TREFFPUNKT is a small friendly language and adult education school for adults only. Located in the scenic university town of Bamberg TREFFPUNKT provides a comfortable environment for studying German. We believe in helping you to develop a competent and enjoyable command of the German language always taking into account your individual learning needs whether as a total beginner or at an advanced level.

Since our successful start in 1995 we have been serving students and business professional from more than 30 countries. Our participants have included employees from such well-known companies. Our institute is capable of handling a maximum capacity of 50 students at one time courses are divided into several levels based upon the participants' command of the language.

- a minimum of 2 instructors per group ensures that participants will profit from different teaching styles and methods
- instruction in small groups (5 students on average) means participants receive a high level of attention enabling them to achieve their personal learning objectives
- a large number of extracurricular activities each week enable participants to become acquainted with day-to-day life in Germany and with the people who live there thereby leading to even greater improvement in their verbal skills

The right choice of accommodation is an important factor in ensuring that you will feel comfortable during your stay in Bamberg. All of our recommended accommodations are located no more than a 20-minute walk from the school.
- Living with people your own age who are either working or studying. You can book a single room in an apartment for €87 per week living with one or two Germans. You are responsible for board but you can use the kitchen.
- Staying with a family. You can book a single room either with breakfast (€107 per week) or with breakfast and evening meal (€152 per week).
- Self-contained units. These are all centrally located in the beautiful old town. Maximum walking distance to the school is 10 minutes. Prices vary from €35 to €65 per day according to the type of accommodation.
- Hotels & guest houses. You will find all types of accommodation ranging from simple guest houses (€45 and up per day) to more luxurious rooms (up to €200 per day) in one of the most modern congress hotels in Bavaria. We recommend a family-run hotel in the very centre of Bamberg (approx. €70 per day with breakfast included).

We offer interesting and enjoyable leisure activities that supplement our courses and provide you with the opportunity to practice your German in an everyday setting. You will find a wide range of activities. Our programme differs from others as it goes beyond conventional tourist excursions and events. We aim to provide you with an insight into the German way of life and the country's culture. You will experience the friendly and open manner of the people of Bamberg their enthusiasm when it comes to street festivals and at other times their preference for relaxing in cafés and beer gardens. You will also experience both historical architecture and modern art and culture. Your stay in Bamberg will thus give you an understanding of the magic of this beautiful town.

The enrolment fee is € 52. It is on a yearly basis and additional to the course fees. It is valid for every course independent of its duration
