Etwas Spezielles über die Schule: Solexico is a high quality school for students who are fairly serious about learning or improving their Spanish. I have been to the schools in Playa del Carmen and Oaxaca and have always had excellent teachers and staff.

Insider Tips: Recent advisories from the U.S. State Dept. have warned about travel to Mexico due to drug cartel infighting and kidnapping. This is generally limited to the boarder towns like Ciudad Juarez and Nuevo Laredo. The current president Caldaron is determined to address the problem and has commited federal troops and is also working closely with the new Obama administration. Mexico is as safe as any other country. I never had even the slightest concern in Puerto Vallarta nor any other place I traveled in Mexico. Like anywhere else you use common sense.

Sonstiges (über die Stadt,Spaßfaktor): Although Puerto Vallarta is a tourist town it doesn't overwhelm you as such because it is still very "Mexican" The climate is great. It has a beautiful harborfront with the Malacon, a walkway along the water lined with shops and vendors and nearly every night has an activity going on. It's geared for young and old alike. Beaches are prolific but Sayulita about an hour north of town was my favorite. I ate out in a different restaurant for over two weeks and still had not scratched the surface of all the varied choices available. Transportation by local bus is so inexpensive and convienent. Buses constantly run thoroughout the city and outside the city as well. The airport is easy and close to town.
